Cajun Garlic Butter Turkey Steaks

Directions:

  • Pat the turkey steaks with a kitchen paper towel to remove any excess moisture and season with salt and black pepper.

    • 3 turkey steaks

    • Salt and black pepper

  • Sprinkle on both sides of the turkey steak and rub it in to coat evenly.

    • ½ tablespoon Cajun seasoning

    • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • Place a heavy bottom skillet or cast iron skillet on medium-high heat, add olive oil, swirl to coat the pan, and heat until shimmering hot. Add the seasoned turkey steak to the hot oil, do not overcrowd the pan. Sear the steak for 2 minutes on one side (try not to move it around the pan). Flip.

    • 1 ½ tablespoon olive oil

  • Add butter and smashed garlic and move it around the pan just until melted and butter fragrant.

    • 2 garlic cloves, smashed

    • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • Tilt the skillet to one side, spoon the butter-garlic mixture over the steak, and cook for another minute. Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the turkey and cook until it reaches 165 degrees F.

  • Remove from heat and transfer to a plate. Rest for about 2 minutes.

  • Garnish with fresh parsley.
